Ducati confirm Andrea Iannone to WorldSBK in 2024
Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall’Inga announced that Andrea Iannone will be riding for one of their satellite teams in the upcoming season. Dall’Inga expressed his respect for Iannone and his excitement for his return. The specific satellite team that Iannone will join is yet to be confirmed, but GoEleven appears to be the most likely option. Other riders, such as Danilo Petrucci and Axel Bassani, are also in talks to continue with Barni Ducati and Motocorsa respectively. The new satellite Ducati team will feature Sam Lowes and Marc VDS, who are transitioning from Moto2. The official announcement and the opportunity for Iannone to test the Superbike-spec Panigale V4 R are still pending. Dall’Inga believes that with time, Iannone will perform well and achieve good results in 2024. If Iannone signs with GoEleven, Philipp Oettl will likely be the rider to leave Ducati.
